Sheffield Plate Charity Cup 2025:

This years Sheffield plate was contested between Moturoa and FC Western at Onuku Taipari Domain.

The first half saw a typically cagy affair with both teams creating limited chances. FC Western were the ones to capitalise on one of those chances first when Matt Sanger found the back of the net in the 34th minute. Moturoa thought they had equalised when they slotted home a well worked move only for it to be ruled out by officials for offside. Just before half time Moturoa Keeper Kieran Bignell tipped a ball destined for the net over the bar to keep his team right in the game. The second half saw the game open up a bit more as the heat started to take its toll on players. As Moturoa pressed looking to equalise the game they had a golden chance in the dying stages when striker Tyler Webber was through 1 on 1 with FC Western Keeper Nic Reive. Unfortunately for the striker he put it straight at the keeper.

TMT Building Ltd Moturoa AFC – 0
